If you find yourself stressed about your daily to-dos, or overwhelmed and irritable, we may have the solution for you: Charlotte's Web™ Stress Support Mushroom Gummies, powered with the fruiting body of reishi mushroom.

Let’s dive into the science behind reishi, and why we chose it as a star ingredient of our new functional mushroom gummy line.

Benefits of Reishi Mushroom

Reishi is one of the most revered functional mushrooms in traditional medicines. It has been used for centuries to support longevity, immune health, and overall well-being.

For those living in today’s fast-paced world, reishi offers a natural way to bring more harmony to both body and mind. Regular use of reishi is believed to support healthy sleep cycles and relaxation2, making it an excellent addition to any self-care routine aimed at supporting restful sleep and a healthier response to daily life stressors.

Functional Mushroom Gummies for Stress Support

When formulating these stress support gummies, we decided to include 320mg dry weight of reishi mushroom, 240mg of ashwagandha root, and 200mg of rhodiola root per serving.

Reishi, the Star of Stress Support

Scientists have studied Reishi extensively, especially for helping with fatigue, mood, and burn out*.

Many of these studies examined larger serving sizes of reishi (1,000mg - 5,400 mg) because they were working with people that had diagnosable levels of fatigue or other health problems. Smaller serving sizes of reishi (240mg – 480mg) may achieve the same effects in the “general population”, or in healthy adults.

Ashwagandha, the Stress Support Herb

Ashwagandha, a plant native to Africa and Asia, has been gaining increased attention for its ability to help with relaxation*. The root of the ashwagandha plant has been shown to help with chronic stress, mood symptoms, and fatigue* in varying scientific studies and research efforts.

Throughout this research, different serving sizes have been tested (from 120mg - 6,000 mg). Larger serving sizes (over 1,000 mg) were used for people with diagnosable levels of health problems (clinical populations). For healthy adults, smaller serving sizes (200mg - 500mg) have been shown to improve mood and reduce stress*.

Our product has 240 mg of Ashwagandha, which you can take up to twice daily for a total of 480 mg, depending on your needs and stress levels.

Rhodiola, the Perennial Root for Stress Support

Rhodiola is another shrub that's’ roots have been used in wellness practices for centuries. Rhodiola root has been studied to see how it helps with stress and fatigue at varying serving sizes (170mg - 576mg). It has also been shown to reduce physical indicators of stress, like morning cortisol*.

How to Find High-Quality Reishi Gummies

When you think of mushrooms, you likely think about the cap that’s growing above ground – that's known as the fruiting body of the mushroom. These fruiting bodies have dense, varied nutrient content.

There’s also a much larger part of the mushroom that grows underground – that is known as the mycelium of the mushroom. While mycelium contains unique compounds and nutrients as compared to the the fruiting body, it can still provide some helpful wellness benefits. However, low-quality mycelium is often grown on grains so the final product may contain more grain than mushroom.

Inclusion of the fruiting body and proof of third-party testing results is a strong sign of quality mycelium in a supplement.

Relaxation with Mushrooms: Why We Made a Stress Support Gummy

Creating this gummy gives anyone that is getting their hemp through another product or moment in their routine, or who aren’t interested in using hemp, an option for supporting healthy stress levels.* Reishi is the perfect functional mushroom for solving that problem (in our humble opinion.)
